Perinatal Grief: Culturally Responsive Care for Latinx

Bereavement and grief are shaped by culture. During this webinar, participants will learn elements of Latinx population that will help them provide culturally responsive services during perinatal loss.

Marianela Rodriguez-Reynaldo is a mother, Certified Lactation Educator, and Clinical Psychologist certified in Perinatal Mental Health. For the past 15 years, she has worked exclusively in the perinatal mental health field. She is a PSI Volunteer Coordinator in PR and an International Trainer with the organization. She facilitated support groups for bereaved parents for 9 years and in 2016 she co-authored Law 184, which is the first protocol for the care of perinatal loss in hospital facilities in PR. She works as a Psychology Consultant for the Puerto Rico Health Department, Mother, Child and Adolescent Division Title V where she is also a member of the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Board (FIMR). She also provides supportive psychotherapy for PLWHIV at the Center for Maternal Infant Studies.
