The PLIDA Education and DEI committees host a new webinar from the 2026 Webinar Series!
“It takes a village” – A comprehensive overview of a multidisciplinary center for fetal diagnosis and intervention
Presented by Alexandra Patch, BSN, RN
Thursday, March 26, 2026 2PM - 3PM CST
Cost: Members: $25 Non-Members: $35

Session Description:
When a patient goes in for a routine pregnancy ultrasound scan, the last thing they expect to hear is that something appears “abnormal” and need an evaluation by a specialist. Congenital anomalies and high-risk pregnancies are rare. The experience can feel very isolating and stressful for the patient and their families, leaving so many questions and unknown outcomes. At our fetal center, we specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and multi-disciplinary care for these patients. This presentation will discuss the full pregnancy journey from initial diagnosis to delivery and beyond. It will also discuss the key roles of each team member, the complexity of certain diagnoses, and the multi-disciplinary/collaborative efforts required to give the best possible care.
