President's ReceptionMessage from PLIDA President, Gina Leigh Jones RN, CPLC
As PLIDA president, it is my privilege to again offer an opportunity to attend the 2026 International Perinatal Bereavement Conference President's Reception, honoring well known and respected perinatal bereavement providers. Many are my personal perinatal heroes. Drs. Veronica Gillespie Bell, Donna Maria Cortezzo, Claire Crawford, Joia Crear Perry, Karen Scott and David Mauser. Additionally, we are honoring Tori Charles and Ashley Engler for their groundbreaking work caring for families experiencing perinatal loss through art therapy. ![]()
This special event is an intimate gathering designed to provide a time and space in a relaxed environment at the beautiful New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District to honor these exceptional providers. The guests of honor have helped make health equity, traumatic grief, trauma related to death, unexpected outcomes, and insensitive care during childbearing, perinatal and neonatal palliative care essential to the understanding of perinatal bereavement.
In addition, founding internationally recognized education and services for the bereaved and those who care for them, established significant programs of research, and worked nationally and internationally to create innovations to the highest quality of care. All have made significant contributions to the literature and clinical practice. It is my hope that you will join me as we honor and interface with those who have shaped our clinical practice and impacted the way we care for those we serve. This opportunity is available for those who register early for IPBC 2026 and will be entered into a random drawing to attend. This reception is at no charge to those in attendance. You must register by 3/1 to enter the drawing! https://www.plida.org/ipbc-2026 |
